Below we outline some projects that we have carried out to the order of the “Remontowa” ship-repair yard in Gdańsk.

Anneleen Knutsen
Conversion of a chemical tanker vessel to a DP2 shuttle tanker.
The design covered the whole conversion, which involved the installation of a bow loading system (BLS) and all the equipment necessary for the vessel’s new role. In addition, many of the ship’s existing systems were modified, and new stability and damage stability calculations were made.

Conversion of a tanker vessel to a DP2 shuttle tanker.
The design covered part of the conversion, i.e. the installation of a bow loading system (BLS), additional thrusters, a new deck communications system, the modification of the ship’s existing systems, new electric cable piping; new stability and damage stability calculations were also carried out.

Conversion of two sister passenger RO-RO vessels.
Calpol designed the vessels’ new bow sections together with two bow ports and their ancillary systems.
Gijon Knutsen
Conversion of a chemical tanker vessel to a DP2 shuttle tanker.
The scope of the project was similar to that of the “Anneleen Knutsen”.
Gijon Knutsen – Knutsen Ballast Water Treatment System (KBAL®)
Installation of an innovative Knutsen company Ballast Water Treatment System.
The project involved a conceptual design study with the shipowner for a prototypical ballast water treatment system, its subsequent working documentation, and the supervision of its installation at the “Remontowa” yard.
Glutra
Lengthening of a double-ended ferry.
The design covered the entire conversion, including the insertion of a new midship section, the modification of existing installations and systems, and fresh stability calculations.
Hanne Knutsen
Conversion of a shuttle tanker vessel into a FSO unit.
The design covered the full hull and deck supervision and inspection of modified tanks, main deck, turret modification and shell of ship’s as well.
KBAL® containers – Knutsen Ballast Water Treatment System
Production of four independent KBAL® containers.
The design covered structure and installations inside container from the first ideas together with Knutsen Technology up to supervision during production and as built documentation.
Overseas Tampa
Conversion of a tanker vessel to a DP shuttle tanker.
The design covered class drawings and detail engineering as part of the installation of a bow loading system (BLS) and all the equipment necessary for the vessel’s new role, additional thruster and dedicated genset, replacement of the existing fixed pitch propeller and shaft with a new CP propeller and new shaft line incl. all necessary equipment.
Petrojarl Cidade De Rio Das Ostras
Conversion of a tanker vessel to an FPSO.
The project covered part of the conversion. The Calpol design included a new auxiliary generator compartment together with the relevant installations and systems, a new deck communications system, loading and unloading equipment, mooring equipment, and the construction of a helideck and its dedicated communications system.
Safe Scandinavia
Accommodation Rig modification.
The design covered all aspects of conversion and modernization. Including  upgrade of anchor and mooring system into12 points mooring system acc to DnV class , installation of two new 50 T rig’s cranes, modernization of communication walkways system to meet NORSOK standards. Installation and upgrade of new life boats systems and relevant davits accordingly. Full 5 years SPS class survey and many other system such piping, electrical cabling and HVAC and ventilation systems accordingly.
Sidis Mariner
Conversion of a PSV vessel into a cable laying vessel for works in the Baltic Sea area.
The design covered class drawings and detail engineering as part of the conversion, i.e. the installation a static cable tank and  a goose neck above the static cable tank , two mezzanine decks and all the equipment necessary for the vessel’s new role (cable laying equipment such as tensioners, cable roller ways etc.)  
Siri Knutsen
Conversion of a chemical tanker vessel to a DP2 shuttle tanker.
The scope of the project was similar to that of the “Anneleen Knutsen”.
Siri Knutsen – Snorre
Conversion of shuttle tanker  into the innovative, the biggest CHEMICAL ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY VESSEL.
The design covered class drawings and detail engineering of all aspects of conversion it means upgrade of DP system by adding new azimuth thruster and dedicated genset and also upgrade the vessel to the new role by adding new accommodation block, new mezzanine deck for new equipment, helideck and modification of the ship’s existing systems. The new stability and damage stability calculations were also carried out for converted ship.
Stena Germanica
Conversion of the RO-RO passenger ferry.
Due to upcoming regulation ref to combustion fumes which comes into force 1 Jan 2015 Stena Line decided to develop alternative fuel system for ship operates on methanol fuel. The design covered class drawings and detail engineering to arrange new tanks,  new compartments, installation of new equipment and devices, piping and HVAC systems . The project has been carried out in collaboration with the engine manufacturer Wärtsilä, the ports of Gothenburg and Kiel as well as the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol, Methanex Corporation.
Superseacat Three/ Superseacat Four
Conversion of two sister passenger RO-RO vessels.
The Calpol design involved the construction of a new aft section and the installation of an aft port.
Urd/Ask
Lengthening of two sister passenger RO-RO vessels.
The project covered the insertion of a new hold section into the hull, together with all the necessary adaptations of existing installations and systems, and fresh stability and damage stability calculations.
Willift Eagle
Conversion of a tanker vessel to a semi-submersible heavy-lift vessel.
The design covered almost the whole conversion: the vessel was shortened; a new cargo deck was designed together with an access tunnel underneath it and the transverse bulkheads on either side; an innovative ballast and air vent system enabling the vessel to submerge was designed; practically all the ship’s systems were modified; a bow thruster was installed; new stability and damage stability calculations were made; submerged states and the transportation of outsize loads were analysed.
Willift Falcon
Conversion of a tanker to a semi-submersible heavy lift vessel.
The scope of the design was similar to that of the “Willift Eagle”, but based on a different tanker hull.
Windsor Knutsen
Conversion of a tanker vessel to the currently largest DP2 shuttle tanker in the world.
The project covered part of the conversion: installation of a bow loading system (BLS); installation of propellers; modification of the ship’s existing systems; design and installation of dedicated systems for the new equipment.
